Companies and Technology Centres analyse the challenges of the future of mobility to find innovation solutions
Mobility faces a number of challenges that demand innovative and collaborative solutions.
- During the event, the Technological Challenge of the new edition of meetechSpain 2024 was presented, which will provide solutions to a real challenge related to mobility.
The Spanish Federation of Technology Centres (Fedit) is working together with the Pons Foundation on an initiative called Conecta Tecnología (#conectatecnología), which aims to facilitate the connection between Technology Centres – as R&D&I providers – with companies that need technological and innovation solutions to improve their competitiveness in certain strategic areas.
The first of the meetings included in this initiative, which took place this morning at the headquarters of the Pons Foundation, focused on the area of Mobility as one of the main sectors of potential future technological development. Up to 11 companies and 9 Fedit Technology Centres, such as: AICIA, CARTIF, CTC, EURECAT, FUNDITEC, IBV, ITENE, TECNALIA and TEKNIKER, participated in the meeting and contributed their technological capabilities in this area.
In the dynamic mobility landscape, there are a number of challenges that demand innovative and collaborative solutions. Urban congestion, pollutant emissions, lack of accessibility and road safety are just some of the critical issues that require strategic attention. Moreover, the need to integrate emerging technologies, such as transport electrification and automation, poses additional challenges.
About Conecta Tecnología
The initiative comprises a series of face-to-face single-themed networking meetings, in which participants will identify challenges or needs for competitive improvement, and the foundations will be laid to find potential technological solutions.
The strategic sectors to be addressed in this first edition of the meetings will be:
- Mobility
- Health
- Agri-food
- Intelligent manufacturing
This was followed by practical presentations of the technological capabilities of the Fedit Technology Centres in the area of Mobility. After the sharing of potential technological solutions, a discussion took place between companies and Fedit Centres on the theme: “Potential technological challenges in the Mobility sector”, moderated by Rafael López, head of Technology Transfer at PONS IP.
During the event, the Technological Challenge of the new edition of the meetechSpain 2024, the most disruptive event of the Spanish innovation ecosystem, which will take place in Madrid on 12, 13 and 14 June 2024, and which will be dedicated to the participating researchers and technologists proposing innovation solutions, in the form of brainstorming, to a real challenge related to Mobility.
