First meeting of the European SHIFT-VET project in Yecla
First transnational meeting of the European ShiftVET project.

On 11 November 2025, the first transnational meeting of the European ShiftVET project was held in Yecla (Murcia). The aim of the project is to improve the digital skills of professionals and vocational education and training (VET) institutions in the wood and furniture sector.
During the meeting, the project partners worked on planning upcoming activities, focusing on training in emerging technologies such as 3D printing, virtual reality and other digital tools applied to the sector.
The conference also served to strengthen collaboration between the various European partners and lay the foundations for the development of training materials that will be produced in the coming months.
The following day, a visit was made to IES Castillo Puche in Yecla, one of the consortium’s partners, where participants were able to see its facilities, training programmes and commitment to educational innovation.
The SHIFT-VET project is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and seeks to contribute to the digital transformation of vocational training, promoting a more modern, flexible education system that is adapted to the needs of today’s labour market.
