CETEM remains committed to innovation in sleep with the Sleepwave project
This innovative initiative is progressing through its development process to integrate smart climate control and artificial intelligence models into daily rest

The SLEEPWAVE project continues to make steady progress in its development phase. This technological initiative is moving forward with the clear aim of revolutionising the sleep sector by designing a mattress equipped with an integrated smart climate control system. The main objective of this development is to help regulate the circadian cycle of body temperature in a fully personalised way, using data collected by the mattress itself.
To implement this solution without compromising the comfort of a conventional sleeping system, the project is currently working towards achieving six key milestones:
- Advanced structural design and materials: Development of a mattress using materials capable of maintaining an optimal temperature whilst sleeping, with a structure specifically designed to house the climate control components without compromising comfort.
- Efficient climate control: Creation of a heating and cooling system that stands out for being quiet, efficient and effective.
- Integrated silent technology: Minimisation of any noise the system may generate during the night, thereby ensuring an optimal, uninterrupted sleep experience.
- Machine learning models: User preferences are taken into account, and the system will act accordingly to maintain thermal comfort.
- Cost and maintenance optimisation: Creating a functional, low-maintenance and affordable system that optimises production processes. All this whilst maintaining the high quality standards of a traditional mattress but adding technological benefits for well-being.
- Intuitive user interface: Designing an accessible interface that allows users to easily configure the system, manage temperature profiles and view personalised sleep statistics.
The SLEEPWAVE and CETEM project is making steady progress towards a new generation of smart sleep solutions, where cutting-edge technology and comfort come together to promote healthier sleep.
