TECNIC

Fecha de inicio: 01 Jan 2019 Fecha de finalización prevista: 31 Dec 2019
The TECNIC research project analyses and experiments with different communication protocols in order to understand the possibilities of using the Internet of Things (IoT) in smart home and furniture applications. As a main result of this work, the most appropriate protocols have been identified and characterised depending on their end use. For its experimental validation, real tests have been carried out recreating the most common usage scenarios.

Expected results:

1

Selection of the communication protocols/standards most likely to be successfully adapted/integrated in IoT networks within the habitat and furniture sector.

2

Identification of the most suitable scenarios where the selected communication protocols can be efficiently integrated.

3

Evaluate and analyse the performance of the chosen communication standards through experimental environments by integrating them into IoT networks in order to recreate or simulate the final conditions of use in the habitat/furniture sector.

4

Draw conclusions from the test results to compare technologies and get a better overview of current IoT communication protocols.
