The aim of the project is to improve the resistance of textiles commonly used in the furniture sector to accelerated ageing due to climatic conditions and/or biological attack, so that their use can be extrapolated to upholstered products for outdoor use.

Main activities

 

 

• Establish the necessary technical requirements for coating systems to be applied on textile to improve resistance to outdoor conditions.
• Develop formulations for use as textile coatings and determine their properties.
• Validate treated textiles for use in upholstered products for outdoor use.
• Obtaining prototypes.

More innovative designs than those obtained by the traditional process of manufacturing outdoor upholstered furniture.
