CETEM’s strategic presence at MWC25 Shanghai boosts new technological partnerships and global awareness

At MWC25 Shanghai, CETEM’s technical team will analyze the latest technological innovations to apply them to the habitat sector and anticipate key trends in industrial transformation.

The Furniture and Wood Technology Center (CETEM) recently participated in the 2025 edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai, one of the most important international technology events, thanks to an initiative promoted by the Institute for the Development of the Region of Murcia (INFO). This participation has allowed the center to acquire cutting-edge knowledge, establish strategic technological contacts, and strengthen its technological monitoring system with high-value information on emerging trends.

The conference, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, brought together more than 45,000 attendees from 128 countries and territories, with a strong representation of technology industry leaders, C-suite executives, and innovative companies. This year’s event featured impressive demonstrations in artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, IoT solutions, 5G connectivity, industrial automation, and autonomous vehicles.

During the visit, CETEM’s technical team thoroughly analyzed these innovations to assess their applicability in the habitat sector, anticipating future technological scenarios and industrial transformation trends. This technological foresight exercise is now incorporated into the center’s technological surveillance system, which allows the transfer of global knowledge to companies in the sector, facilitating their adaptation and competitiveness in a changing environment.

Furthermore, participation in the event has fostered the creation of new international collaboration networks with leading organizations in advanced connectivity, digital platforms, and enabling technologies, consolidating CETEM’s role as a benchmark in technology transfer geared toward industrial innovation.

CETEM is especially grateful for the support of INFO, whose support has been key to making this strategic initiative for internationalization and competitive intelligence possible, aligned with the objectives of sustainable growth and innovation for the business community of the Region of Murcia.
