The FITT-NESS project presents its S3 Roadmap to drive digitalisation and sustainability in the housing sector

The European consortium has reached one of the project’s milestones with the publication of a document designed to guide SMEs towards advanced manufacturing, the circular economy and smart furniture.

September brings new developments to further drive innovation in the furniture and home furnishings sector. As part of the European FITT-NESS project, the consortium has just finalised one of its key strategic outputs: the ‘S3 Roadmap and Market Analysis’, a document designed to support the sector’s transformation towards more digital, sustainable and inclusive models.

This roadmap identifies development opportunities in areas such as advanced manufacturing, digitalisation, the circular economy, sustainable materials, smart furniture and solutions tailored to an increasingly ageing population. It also sets out possible ways to help businesses progress from initial ideas or early prototypes towards solutions with a higher degree of maturity, validation and market potential.

To this end, FITT-NESS focuses not only on the needs of businesses, but also on the role of technology centres, clusters and innovation agents as facilitators of access to knowledge, testing facilities, support services and new opportunities for collaboration.

At CETEM, we continue to work to bring these capabilities to the business community and to help ensure that innovation translates into real solutions for the furniture and home furnishings sector.

And, as we get back to work, we’d also like to share an opportunity for the self-employed and micro-enterprises in the Valencian Community.

🚀 The Valencia Chamber of Commerce is offering the Endavant Programme, developed as part of the Valencian Regional Government’s Endavant Plan, to support the recovery and revitalisation of small businesses, particularly those affected by the DANA of 2024.

The programme is 100 per cent free and includes a business assessment, practical training, personalised advice and the development of a bespoke Recovery Plan, with the aim of helping each business identify its needs and define the next steps.

We continue to provide further tools and opportunities to enable businesses to tackle the green and digital transitions with greater knowledge, support and capacity for innovation.
