CETEM promotes the future of Vocational Training from the heart of the CyLskills Forum in Valladolid
CETEM reinforces its leadership in European Vocational Training by participating in the CyLSkills 2025 Forum and in the signing of the HABITABLE Alliance.

The Valladolid Trade Fair was the setting for the Castilla y León Vocational Training Forum, an event that brought together more than 450 attendees, including professionals from the education and business sectors, to reflect on the present and future of vocational training. A key meeting and projection space that has had expert voices at national and international level, and in which CETEM has had a prominent role sharing its experience as a Centre of Professional Excellence in the habitat sector.
Organised by the Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Castilla y León, the forum took place over two intense days, structured in three main blocks: the European vision of Vocational Training, the involvement of the productive fabric and the strategic challenges that will define its evolution.
During the first day, leading experts such as Joaquim James Calleja (President of the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training), José Manuel Galvín (specialist in European education policies), and Anastasia Pouliou (CEDEFOP), gave their views on the transformative role of VET in Europe. In this context, CETEM was invited to participate in the round table on Centres of Excellence in VET, represented by María Sánchez, international project manager, who shared the experience of the technology centre as a national reference thanks to its participation in initiatives such as ALLVIEW and HABITABLE.
The round table was moderated by Patricia Díez, from the Regional Ministry of Education, and also included representatives from leading organisations such as the Construction Labour Foundation, CIFP Tecnológico Industrial and AEICE, generating an enriching dialogue on the opportunities for cooperation between educational institutions, technology centres and companies.
In addition, CETEM was part of the regional signing of the HABITABLE Alliance, a decisive step towards the construction of a regional innovation ecosystem focused on the habitat sector. This alliance marks the beginning of a long-term strategy that seeks to scale up to national and European level, reinforcing the role of VET as a driver of industrial and social transformation.
The second day of the forum addressed key issues such as the challenge of talent, digitalisation, mobility and internationalisation in VET. The CyLSkills 2025 championships were also held, in which students from different specialities demonstrated their technical skills in an environment of excellence.
In short, CETEM’s active participation in this forum has made it possible to highlight its commitment to vocational training that is connected to industrial reality, capable of anticipating market changes and training professionals who will lead the transition towards a smarter, more sustainable and inclusive habitat sector.
