CETEM and the José Luis Castillo Puche Institute are organising a workshop on advanced technologies as part of the ShiftVET project
The activity brought key technologies closer to vocational training providers in order to align vocational training with the demands of the labour market.

The European ShiftVET project continues to make steady progress towards its goal: adapting training programmes to the wood sector. CETEM and the José Luis Castillo Puche Institute, partners in the project, held a workshop at the educational centre’s facilities focusing on the technology guides developed during the project.
The session brought together a total of 19 participants, including vocational training teachers, students and various stakeholders linked to the fields of innovation, woodworking and technical training. The main objective of the meeting was to present the technology guides developed by the consortium and to encourage the exchange of opinions on their practical application.
During the workshop, a detailed presentation was given on the guidelines and technologies covered: 3D printing, 3D scanning and CNC machining. In addition, their main features, possible uses and potential impact on training and professional processes were discussed.
The day concluded with an open discussion in which participants were able to share their impressions, raise questions and offer suggestions. This space for dialogue allowed valuable opinions to be gathered on the usefulness of the guides and their adaptation to the real needs of educational centres, students and agents in the sector.
This workshop is part of activity 1 of the ShiftVET project, which aims to bring key technologies to vocational training and improve the alignment between training and current labour market demands.
