SILENTWOOD

The aim of the project is to develop a new type of door with a high content of wood or other bio-based fibres with improved sound insulation properties and a competitive price.

Expected results:

1

Develop a multi-layer structure containing new noise reduction materials, as well as design an innovative internal geometry for sound insulation attenuation.


2

Design, test, validate and certify the complete door system, firstly through the use of computer models for the optimisation of prototyping and secondly through standardised testing.
