APLICA3D Project

Fecha de inicio: 15 Apr 2014 Fecha de finalización prevista: 19 Nov 2015

The aim of the project is to study new advanced applications for incorporating additive manufacturing technologies (3D printing) and others in production processes, through the rapid development of tools or tooling (rapid tooling).

  More information

Expected results:

1

The identification of processes involving tools and tooling (direct tooling) that can be improved.

2

The identification of processes that include master parts (indirect tooling) that could be susceptible to improvement.

3

The generation of knowledge about the different materials available for additive manufacturing and others that can be incorporated into the above processes.

4

The generation of knowledge on the performance of new printed materials in laboratory-scale tests.

5

Obtaining adaptations of the calibrations of additive manufacturing machines to improve material properties.

6

The generation of knowledge on the behaviour of materials in pilot tests on an industrial scale, which have the potential to improve current processes.

7

Obtaining experimental test environments for the verification and validation of applications.

8

Strengthening CETEM’s technical capabilities in the area of additive manufacturing.
