UNE-EN 15372:2024. Furniture. Strength, durability, and safety. Requirements for tables for non-domestic use.

The Furniture and Wood Technology Center (CETEM) reports on the recent adoption and entry into force of the new UNE-EN 15372:2024 standard, which cancels and replaces UNE-EN 15372:2016. This standard does not apply to office tables or desks, tables for educational establishments, laboratory tables for educational establishments, or outdoor tables, for which other European standards exist.
The scope and field of application of UNE-EN 15372:2024 does not apply to laboratory tables for professional use or work tables for industrial use. It does not apply to tables whose top is not fixed to a base. Except for stability tests, this document is not intended to evaluate the performance of storage elements that may be carried by the table. It does not include requirements relating to electrical safety or resistance to aging and degradation.
At CETEM, our Finished Furniture Testing Laboratory is fully equipped to carry out tests in accordance with this new regulation. Equipped with advanced technology and highly qualified personnel, the laboratory guarantees rigorous and accurate testing, ensuring that furniture meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence in the furniture and wood sector, giving our partners and customers the confidence that their products comply with the latest and most demanding European regulations.
