CETEM participates in the 2nd TechGrow project meeting

On July 11 and 12, 2024, CETEM participated in the coordination meeting of the partners of the TechGrow, which took place at the facilities of the Portuguese Footwear Technology Center (CTCP), in S. João da Madeira, and at the headquarters of the Portuguese Association of Footwear, Components, Leather Goods and Related Manufacturers (APICCAPS).

TechGrow project partners focused on updating on the development of the project. To this end, the planning to prepare training materials was addressed, as well as the selection of good innovative practices. Training materials will be soon available in the project website and used by project partners in their training sessions.

On the other hand, CETEM led a capacity building activity where the operation of the VINÇI technological watch tool was demonstrated to consortium members and CTCP technicians. The objective was that the attendees understood the mechanisms of the platform and, in this way, be able to transfer their knowledge in a more efficient way during the September training sessions.

Project partners had the opportunity to visit CTCP facilities, where the different processes carried out to innovate in the footwear sector were shown, such as the work dedicated to chemical testing, quality control, 3D printing and robotics processes, training and promoting entrepreneurship, as well as the exhibition of products developed within the center.

Project partners will organize a webinar to show all project results and awareness about the importance of the technological watch for companies. Coordinated by Fedit, it will take place on October 30. More information about it will be coming soon.
