CIEN project to advance national UWB technology by combining tags and radar with advanced communication techniques and machine learning, integrating BLE 5.1/5.2 and the future BLE 6 (HADM). The solution optimises accuracy, consumption, number of anchors and cost, and incorporates edge computing. Specific vertical solutions are developed and validated in multi-sector use cases (aeronautics, construction, home automation, plastics, hospitality, internal logistics, healthcare and automotive).

Results to be achieved:

1

Develop UWB-Tag-based technology to achieve a system that is optimised in terms of performance, efficiency and cost.

2

Development of UWB-Radar technology capable of indoor location and tracking, as well as monitoring vital signs.

3

Creation of a multipurpose UWB platform that combines UWB-Tag and UWB-Radar technology and integrates commercial solutions from different sectors.

4

Develop and validate a comprehensive, real-world system that incorporates UWB technology and meets the previously defined use cases for each sector.
