The objective of the VAC-3D project is the development of an artificial vision system for the closing of the base of armchairs.VAC-3D is an initiative that aims to develop a 3D artificial vision system capable of adapting to the different characteristics of the products to be processed, focused on tasks in the upholstered furniture sector, and with the ability to correct in real time any variation between the measurements, geometry, position and existing imperfections between the ideal case and the real material to be processed.

Design and development of an advanced 3D artificial vision system for use in different automation solutions in the sector.

Research for the development and incorporation of collaborative and adaptive robotic systems that can be integrated into the current production process of companies in the sector.

Design and integration of software and hardware components to obtain a functional prototype demonstrator for the closing of armchair bases using artificial vision and collaborative robotics.

Extending CETEM’s knowledge of advanced machine vision and collaborative robotics technologies.

Dissemination of the results of the project on artificial vision and collaborative robotics in processes in the sector.
