The aim of the project is to define and coordinate the implementation of the second generation of eCall, a pan-European system for vehicle accident detection and the automatic generation of emergency calls to 112.

Expected results:
1
Prepare the PSAP (public-safety answering point) infrastructure necessary to implement a pan-European eCall.
2
Boost Member States’ investment in PSAP infrastructure and service interoperability by the end of 2017.
3
Prepare for the deployment of eCall for heavy and dangerous goods vehicles, as well as for long distance buses and two-wheeled motor vehicles.
