The ECO BOOST project publishes its first newsletter with the results of its eco-skills survey.

The ECO BOOST project has launched its first newsletter with the results of a survey on green skills. Participants from five European countries gave their opinions on the skills needed to boost sustainable careers in sectors such as construction, furniture, textiles and healthcare.

The ECO BOOST project has launched its first newsletter, highlighting the results of a survey conducted by the team to identify the skills and know-how that both employed and unemployed people need to acquire to improve their chances in the labour market. The initiative, which promotes the development of green skills in key sectors, involved people from five European countries: Bulgaria, Germany, Spain, Italy and Austria.

The survey focused on collecting participants’ opinions on how and where climate and environmental protection is applied in everyday life and in the professional sphere. In addition, it looked at the green skills needed to boost sustainable careers in sectors such as construction, furniture and textiles, healthcare and electricity.

The results reveal a growing demand for specific green skills training to facilitate the transition to a greener economy. ECO BOOST will continue to work to provide training tools to support the development of these skills, thus contributing to the strengthening of a more sustainable labour market aligned with today’s demands for environmental protection.

This first newsletter represents an important step forward in the project’s mission, and promises to be the start of a series of publications that will inform the community about ECO BOOST’s progress and achievements in promoting green skills.
