Participation in GITEX Global is part of the Dubai 2025 Technology Mission, organised by the Regional Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy, through the Institute of Development (INFO), with the aim of strengthening the international profile of the region’s innovative fabric and attracting technological investment to Murcia.

During the mission, participants, including start-ups, highly innovative SMEs and leading technology centres such as CETEM, held strategic meetings with key institutions in digital transformation and smart cities, such as Dubai Internet City and Dubai Municipality, among others. These meetings have enabled new synergies to be established around disruptive technologies and smart cities.

For its part, CETEM has emphasised that its presence at GITEX Global 2025 reinforces its commitment to technology transfer and business competitiveness, positioning the housing sector in the global conversation on the future of smart, sustainable and connected environments.

Artificial Intelligence has been the star of this event, where practical cases of its application in industrial environments have been showcased, with decisions being made in areas as complex as logistics and internal production processes within companies. Its rapid growth and countless applications mean that companies will have to integrate it into their business management, including production processes, if they want to remain competitive in international markets. On the other hand, the hyperconnected city, or ‘supersmart city’, was also the star of this edition of GITEX 2025, where, for example, the relationship between users and the administration through Intelligent Holograms, which are capable of responding as if they were real people, and even more quickly, has become a reality that will be available in a very short space of time.
