CETEM launches a new free online training course to lead the transition towards circular and sustainable models in the furniture and home furnishings sector

The course aims to train new Circular Economy Transition Managers, key figures in supporting companies in their shift towards a more efficient and sustainable model.

The new online course ‘Managers of Transition to the Circular Economy: Leading the Circular Transition in the Furniture Industry’ is now available. It is aimed at professionals who want to lead the transformation towards more sustainable and circular models in the furniture and habitat sector.

The role of Circular Economy Transition Manager will be key in the coming years in supporting companies in this process of change towards a more efficient and sustainable model. Their main functions include orchestrating change within the organisation, connecting teams and suppliers, integrating eco-design, innovation and knowledge of the regulations affecting the sector, as well as promoting new materials, processes and circular business models.

The course is structured into 10 modules and 50 training capsules, combining videos, podcasts, technical documents, case studies and exercises. The training offers total flexibility, allowing participants to complete the entire course or select only those capsules that are of most interest to them.

In addition, the programme is based on a micro-credential system: upon passing the final test for each module, students obtain a certificate accrediting the knowledge and skills they have acquired. As an added bonus, the course will include support and tutoring through the forum until April.

Registration is completely free and provides immediate access to content via the following.registration link

For those who are unsure where to start, the project offers a self-assessment tool that allows users to design a personalised training itinerary that reflects the needs of each student: https://assessment.circler-furniture.eu/

This initiative is part of the CirCLER Project, which aims to develop the professional profile of the Circular Economy Transition Manager. It is an Erasmus+ project, co-funded by the European Union, in which CETEM participates alongside sector associations, technology centres, specialised organisations and universities from seven countries, all with extensive experience in the circular economy, the housing sector and vocational training. This innovative course represents a new step towards accelerating the transition of the furniture sector towards a circular model, strengthening the training of professionals and the competitiveness of companies.
