CETEM hosts the ECO-BOOST Multiplier Event to promote green skills in Vocational Education and Training

During the event, the main findings of the project were presented to vocational training students, teaching staff and representatives from the business community.

On 26 February, CETEM held the Multiplier Event of the European project ECO-BOOST, bringing together VET students, teachers and representatives from the business ecosystem to present the project’s main results.
The event gathered stakeholders from the sector, teachers and students from IES Castillo Puche, who had the opportunity to learn about the tools developed within the project and their practical application to improve employability in sustainability-related sectors.
The ECO-BOOST – Employment and Career Opportunities for Boosting Environmental Sustainability Training project aims to strengthen green and transversal skills in Vocational Education and Training, providing educators and learners with innovative tools and methodologies aligned with current labour market needs.
During the event, participants were introduced to the project’s main outcomes, including the Green Skills Toolkit, a resource designed to support educators in integrating sustainability competences into their training programmes and helping learners develop skills demanded by companies in sectors such as construction, furniture and textiles, healthcare and electricity.
The programme also included a guided tour of CETEM’s different departments, where attendees could see practical examples of how green skills and sustainability principles are applied within the furniture and habitat industry. In addition, a networking and professional matchmaking session was organised, enabling students and companies to exchange ideas, needs and collaboration opportunities.
Through initiatives such as this Multiplier Event, CETEM continues to foster stronger connections between education, innovation and industry, contributing to the preparation of future professionals capable of addressing the challenges of the green transition and a labour market increasingly oriented towards sustainability.
