CETEM attends “Forest Protection and Sustainability: Harnessing Research and Networking for a Sustainable Future” in Brussels

CETEM, a recognised leader in research and development in the wood and furniture sector, has participated in the event “Forest protection and sustainability: Leveraging research and networking for a sustainable future“, organised by COST in Brussels. CETEM’s participation in this event has been an excellent opportunity to share achievements and collaborations in the protection and sustainability of wood and forests in Europe.

As chair of the COST Action CA22110, CETEM shared its vast experience in traditional sectors such as furniture. In addition, as part of its participation, CETEM presented the first advances of its Action, highlighting the added value it brings to the research landscape. The COST LIAISE Action, of which CETEM is an integral part, aims to ensure an inclusive, innovative and holistic approach to Industrial Symbiosis. This is achieved by generating relevant synergies between the different actors of the quadruple helix model, such as academia, industry, policy makers and technology transfer institutions, among others.

CETEM’s participation in this event not only reinforces its commitment to the protection and sustainability of forest resources in Europe, but also establishes a solid basis for future collaborations and advances in the research and development of Industrial Symbiosis.
