Service – Product Engineering
Additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing or 3D printing is used to obtain objects (real parts) from a 3D virtual design. With this service, physical prototypes are provided in a reduced time and at any scale. At CETEM, there are several 3D printers using different technologies that produce parts in a range of materials.
The results obtained allow procedures such as product verification, validation, testing and promotion. However, these results will not serve as end-use products.
What problem will it solve?
Unnecessary costs in terms of time and money are avoided during the design and development phase, as there is no need to produce prototypes several times using real materials and dimensions.
