The aim of the project is to obtain a new type of resin for pressed wood planks that does not contain formaldehyde, a material classified by the EU as a possible carcinogen.

Expected results:

Develop a formaldehyde-free bio-resin with a price below €2/kg.

Achieve the same hardness and moisture resistance when applying the new resin as conventional panels that do contain formaldehyde.


3

Optimize the production process of wood-based panels.
