Success of the SEN4CE project: older adults trained in circular economy at CETEM
SEN4CE’s main objective is to involve and empower older people in green and sustainable Circular Economy issues.
CETEM hosted the multiplier event of the SEN4CE project, which is coming to an end at the end of this month. More than 30 older adults, all over the age of 60, gathered to familiarise themselves with the purpose and achievements of this innovative project.
The SEN4CE project’s main objective is to engage and train older people in green and sustainable Circular Economy issues, as well as in digital skills needed to foster high quality lifelong learning. During the event, the results obtained through this initiative were successfully presented.
Attendees participated in interactive activities focused on recycling and other sustainable practices. These activities aimed to raise awareness of the importance of cooperation in building a greener and more sustainable world.
The digital training programme designed as part of the SEN4CE project has been noted for its inclusive and effective approach to training older people in key aspects of the Circular Economy. The knowledge acquired by the participants is expected not only to benefit their personal understanding, but also to be transferred to their communities and networks.
With the proven success of this event and the outstanding achievements of the SEN4CE project, CETEM and its partners are preparing to close this stage with a renewed focus on sustainable development and continuing education for older people.
