D3PO held its second training seminar in Yecla

D3PO held its second training seminar in Yecla

From November 14 to 18, the D3PO project consortium met in Yecla, Spain to carry out the second Teaching, Training and Learning Activity of the project, with the main objective of better understanding 3D modeling and getting the necessary 3D printing skills.

Thanks to this training, the partners discovered new ways to obtain a 3D model and all the procedures to get a 3D printed puzzle. The main part of the training consisted of how to enter a 3D model in a cutting software, how to load it in the CURA software and configure all the essential options for the printing phase.

Then, thanks to CETEM, the participants had the opportunity to run a 3D model on a different 3D printer, with a different size and configuration.

All partners have started to develop the therapeutic narrative of each puzzle. What is innovative is that each 3D puzzle will have its own narrative, but all can be adapted to the needs of different target groups.

Finally, to provide a complete training, CETEM organized a visit to the AMPY Special Education Center. Then, the visit to the company SANCAL gave a clear vision of the use of the 3D printer that can also be very useful in the furniture industry, giving excellent benefits from it.
