CETEM is part of the wide CIRCLER consortium, established at European level, which will define the knowledge that this new professional profile must have, also offering specialised training that will help to train future Circular Transition Managers in companies of the furniture sector.
In the first working meeting, organised by the Italian Furniture Federation, each of the participating organisations was able to share their point of view on how the circular transition in the furniture sector should be addressed. In addition, during these two days of work, the first steps have been established to know, from the hand of professionals in the sector and experts in sustainability, the requirements that managers in charge of leading this transition in the industry must have.
The activity, developed within the framework of the CIRCLER project, involves the participation of 16 entities of recognised prestige in the furniture, training and circular economy sectors, which will develop their work over the next three years. CIRCLER, led by AMBIT, has the participation of the Polytechnic University of Milan, the Agency for Sustainable Development of the Carpathian Region in Ukraine, the Atlantic University of Technology in Ireland, the University of Vaasa in Finland and the European Confederation of Furniture Industries, among others.
CIRCLER, co-financed by the European Union, has a total budget of 1,168,000 euros, and joins the long list of initiatives that CETEM develops to promote circularity and sustainability in the furniture sector with the ultimate goal of increasing the competitiveness and efficiency of companies in the sector, while improving the skills and knowledge of current and future workers.
