CETEM hosts two key international meetings for training and capacity building

Last week, CETEM hosted two key international meetings. The 4th meeting of the PRIORITY45 project discussed a training plan for people over 45 to be integrated into an e-learning platform. The DRUMS project meeting in Yecla defined didactic guides focused on a humanistic pedagogical methodology. Both events highlighted CETEM’s commitment to innovation and technological education.

Last week, the Furniture and Wood Technology Centre (CETEM) was the venue for two international meetings of great relevance, notable for their impact on social and training work.

The first of these was the 4th meeting of the PRIORITY45 project, which focuses on identifying and improving the skills of people over 45. During the meeting, the training plan and its content were discussed in detail, as well as the next step which involves the integration of this material into an e-learning platform. This platform will be available to anyone interested in developing these skills. The meeting included a workshop highlighted by the participation of Nuria Mariño and Eduardo Domingo from the Centro de Adultos de Yecla, and Francisco Martínez from the New London Academy and Santiago López from IES Azorín, who discussed training possibilities for people over 45.

In parallel, the DRUMS project meeting was held, focusing on the definition of the content of the didactic guides as part of the objectives of the current work package. This work package aims to develop guidelines covering all necessary knowledge areas, using a human-centred pedagogical methodology. During the meeting, the foundations for specific approaches to teaching, learning and assessment were laid. One of the most outstanding achievements was the detailed discussion and formulation of these guidelines, which will be fundamental for the start of the project. The guidelines are designed to ensure a structured and coherent approach to non-formal education within the DRUMS programme, aligning with the overall objectives of the project. The contributions and opinions of all attendees have been invaluable, marking this meeting as a significant milestone in the progress of the project.

These meetings underline CETEM’s commitment to continuous improvement of training and skills development, reaffirming its role as a leader in innovation and technology education.
